Anti-aging starts with sun protection
The sun's radiation is one of the most consequential environmental influences on our skin, because in addition to the tanning that is perceived as beautiful, it also causes premature skin ageing (photoaging).
One all too visible consequence of too much sunlight is age spots. These brownish, lenticular discolourations usually appear where daylight constantly reaches, i.e. on the face and the back of the hands. The early appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin are also signs of many years of UV overdose. The most effective method of counteracting premature skin ageing is perfect sun protection. And not only when sunbathing, but all year round you should provide your skin with a very high level of sun protection every day. This is especially true after medical aesthetic treatments, as the skin is very sensitive here.
Global sun protection
- A good sunscreen - high protection against UV-B radiation (SPF) and UV-A radiation (EU recommendation), plus antioxidant substances against free radicals (as IR protection complex and anti-blue light effect), high resistance to water and perspiration.
- Possibly protection from within - antioxidants in capsule form
- A good means of care and regeneration after sun exposure (after sun)
Anti-age care with sun protection or sun protection with anti-age effect?
Our rule of thumb: On sunny summer or winter holidays, sun protection should be a priority, even on cloudy days. For everyday life in the office or at home without long stays in the sun, classic anti-age care with integrated sun protection is more recommended.
There is a suitable sunscreen for every skin type and every skin problem. The team at the Medical Center will be happy to inform you.
